Installing plants is easy, but maintaining them…not so much.

Plants need certain elements to thrive. Here are some things to consider.

Depending on the desired placement area in indoor settings, some plants may also need supplemental lighting.
Different plants come from different ecosystems, each with its own soil composition. Replicating these soil conditions increases the likelihood of success in your installation.
In nature, soil re-amends itself because of the soil food web. We mimic nature by adding microorganisms to the soil whose byproducts are readily bioavailable for plants to absorb.
Roots need to grow. We ensure to select adequate container sizes to start your plants off right.

For restaurants and commercial spaces: We offer weekly maintenance and watering services that keep your plants thriving. Grease, germs, and pathogens that end up on plants are more prevalent in busy commercial settings than in a regular home. This means plants will need pest control and cleaning measures for optimal growth.

Soil Amendment Program

We offer a low-cost organic soil amendment program that resupplies the plants’ growing medium with fresh nutrients and minerals and is produced directly from the restaurants’ leftover produce scraps and paper receipts!

Our soil mix, Profe Urban Soil, consists of vermicompost – organic matter collected from local restaurants and converted into microbe-rich soil medium via vermiculture aka worms. This produces soil with bioavailable nutrients and minerals for plants to grow optimally and defend themselves against pests.
